| B.I.E AWARDED NEW ISO 9001:2000 CERTIFICATE OF ITS QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM | ||

Bsi assessment of the BIE Quality Management System was completed in December 2003 resulting in an independent accreditation to ISO 9001:2000. One of the significant changes applicable to this accreditation is the revised scope, which incorporates the BIE Group worldwide and no longer refers to just the UK region. This change effectively allows the opportunity for the Group to adopt and present to existing and prospective customers, a common system operated by each office. Whilst minor regional differences will continue to remain the philosophy of the Group, working to one common system can effectively be achieved without the need for each office to obtain individual accreditation. All the principle changes are contained within the BIE QMS; however, much of the information documented in the 1994 standard still remains. With the exception of a few procedures, operationally the same work procedures still remain. Major changes have been made to the Group Safety Policy including the use of a detailed accident report form. |
